The stockily-built man pounced after the Sandys woman gave him a lift.

Police said he threatened her and choked her, before the sexual assault.

The incident occurred around 1 a.m. on Saturday.

The woman was driving along Bob's Valley Lane when she saw the man -- an acquaintance -- flagging her down.

He asked for a lift and the woman followed his directions to an area just south of Sound View Road, near the Railway Trail.

Police say the woman refused the man's advances. He then choked her until she stopped struggling and sexually assaulted her.

He further threatened the terrified woman and made her take him to the entrance of Cook's Hill. She reported the incident to Police.

The man is brown skinned, fairly tall, of stocky build, with a close hair cut.

He is about 25 and was wearing a peaked hat and a black crash helmet.
