Man's houseboat not registered

yesterday for not having his houseboat registered.Prosecutor Insp.

yesterday for not having his houseboat registered.

Prosecutor Insp. Peter Duffy told the court the offence came to light on the morning of May 16 when Marine Police attended Mills Creek marina and noticed the boat did not have a registration sticker.

Moore, who admitted the offence, told Police he did not have enough money to pay the $90 fee Marine and Ports had quoted him, Insp. Duffy said.

He told the court he did not think he needed to register the boat anyway because it did not have an engine.

But Magistrate the Wor. John Judge told him, "That's not the point. You must register it.''
