Charmaine Braithwaite were yesterday praised in the Senate.

The event two weeks ago saw thousands of people take time out to pledge to do something to stop the drugs scourge.

Other organisations and individuals to whom Senators sent congratulations were: The Bermuda Electric Light Company, Mr. Dalton Tucker who won the Soujourner Truth Award, Mrs. Wilma Yearwood and the Bermuda Pacers Track club.

Senators also sent condolences to the families of the following individuals who died over the summer: Mr. Ross Manders, Mr. Edward Dillas, Mr. Ernest Faries, Mr. Vernon Raynor, Mr. Boyson Christopher, Mrs. Daphne Joseph, Mr. Joe Mills, Mrs. Florence Perinchief, Mrs. Saidie Allen and Mr. David Gosling.
