Motorcyclist over the limit
while impaired.
Douglas R. Mitchell, 29, of Bright Bank Lane, pleaded guilty to the charge.
Prosecutor, Insp. Peter Duffy told the court that Police saw Mitchell at 1.20 a.m. on Front Street getting on his bike in the parking lot across from the Oasis night club.
"He drove out of the parking lot and stopped at the light,'' Insp. Duffy said.
"Officers watched as he almost fell off his bike. They followed him up to the City Hall and observed as he weaved from side to side, occasionally going over the yellow line.'' Insp. Duffy added that the officers stopped Mitchell and noticed that his breath smelled of alcohol and his eyes were glazed.
An alcohol test showed that Mitchell had 200 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis told Mitchell: "The machine couldn't have read higher than it did.'' Mr. Francis also disqualified Mitchell from all vehicles for 12 months.
