Vasco and Somerset with thoughts other than football on their mind.

For The Royal Gazette has learned that the Regiment Police were on a manhunt for a tardy recruit.

And the MPs found their man -- top soccer player and former Bermuda captain Meshach Wade -- on the bench for his club Vasco and carted him off to Warwick Camp and a waiting cell.

Mr. Wade was supposed to be at Warwick Camp on the morning of January 11 for a two-week stint in boot camp but did not show up, prompting the MPs search.

The loss of Mr. Wade to the Regiment did not seem to bother Vasco however as the club steam rolled to a 4-1 victory over Somerset.

Recruits had to perform a series of physical tasks before entering a tent filled with tear gas fumes. They then had to take off their gas masks and answer a series of questions while the gas took its affect.
