Health Minister the Hon. Quinton Edness said the four had set standards other MPs could try to emulate.

MPs of 25 years standing, including Speaker the Hon. David Wilkinson , also came in for praise.

Several members of the House went on to pay tribute to the success of Dental Health Week.

Mr. Edness said Government and the private sector should be congratulated.

"Our children probably have the best teeth in the world,'' he said.

Government whip the Hon. David Dyer said Bermuda's youngsters certainly had better teeth these days.

He also congratulated Masterworks for its "tremendous'' job in repatriating works of art.

Finance Minister the Hon. David Saul and Delegated Affairs Minister the Hon.

Sir John Sharpe paid tribute to Accountant General-elect Ms Heather Matthews.

Dr. Saul said Ms Matthews would bring wisdom, judgement, and experience to the post.

Community Minister the Hon. Leonard Gibbons said the Somerset School of Dancing should be praised for its classic version of Peter Pan.

Local musicians and showmen at the Princess Hotel and the Shutters restaurant also came in for congratulation.

They provided a good example of what Bermudians can achieve.

Shadow Sports Minister Mr. Dennis Lister said the Bermuda Cricket Board should be praised for its handling of the recent tour of the Pakistan team.

On a sadder note, Mr. Lister expressed regret over the death of Ms Iris Lee, from Somerset.

And National Liberal Party leader Mr. Gilbert Darrell said a letter of condelence should be sent to the family of the late teacher Ms Ellen Stowe.

Ms Stowe had been responsible for a lot of progress, said Mr. Darrell.
