Butterfield security van at the Mermaid Beach Club have pleaded guilty and will be sentenced this morning in Supreme Court.

Omar Devall Amory, 24, Kirk Mundy, 20, and Harron Lee Powell Evans, 20, were each charged with conspiring to rob the Bank of Butterfield of $68,000 on November 10, 1995.

But Evans, who was also charged with using a firearm to commit an indictable offence and with possessing an air pistol, maintained his not guilty plea.

He will reappear for mention on August 4. Lawyer Archie Warner appears for Evans.

Mundy was charged with possessing an imitation firearm with intent to commit an offence and he pleaded guilty.

Mundy, who is serving five years for being an accomplice after the fact in the murder of Canadian schoolgirl Rebecca Middleton, admitted robbing an employee of the Bank of Butterfield of $40,000 and using an imitation firearm.

And Amory pleaded guilty to stealing a key, electrical equipment and $40,000 from the Bank of Butterfield. Lawyer Mark Pettingill is representing both Amory and Evans.

On November 10, 1995, more than $68,000 was snatched at gunpoint from the security van as it pulled into the Mermaid Beach Club.
