criminal charges after the Attorney General returned his file to the Police.

Police Commissioner Mr. Lennett (Lennie) Edwards confirmed yesterday that the case of the Special Branch officer will now be dealt with internally.

The officer was accused of tampering with Transport Control Department records during a motor car deal.

The file was sent to the Attorney General in August but the officer was not suspended during the investigation.

Police community relations officer Sgt. John Dale said: "The file came back from the Attorney General's chambers to the Commissioner advising him to continue the matter internally.''
