tightlipped about the name that has been chosen for the former US Naval Air Station in the east end.

But a spokesman guaranteed the name would not be controversial.

"It's a good name that is not unknown in Bermuda as it used to exist here,'' said the Bermuda Land Development Company's Donald Grearson yesterday.

He said a name had been chosen from more than 200 suggestions the company received during a recent contest and an announcement would made by the end of the week.

Mr. Grearson said the delay was to allow the Board of Directors hear the new name when it held its monthly meeting this week.
