Nursing staff, union to meet over working conditions
union leaders later today to express fresh concerns over working conditions.
The meeting comes after staff signed a petition making several complaints.
As yet it is not known what precisely the staff at the hospital are concerned about or how many members signed the petition, but the possible dispute is not thought to be related to the controversial introduction of programme managers.
Last night acting BPSA General Secretary Stephen Emery confirmed that a meeting would be going ahead.
"I will be meeting with a cross section of staff who signed the petition. As far as I am aware the project manager issue has been put to rest but there are some other areas that staff are concerned about. I will be meeting with them tomorrow and then we will arrange a meeting with management.'' UNIONS UNS
