Magistrates' Court yesterday after pleading guilty to dangerous driving charges.

Gary L. Jackson of Cobbs Hill Road in Warwick, was part of a group of 40 cyclists who were pursued by a Police motorcycle patrol in the early hours of October 18.

At around 3.10 a.m. officers spotted the group heading east along Marsh Folly Road in Pembroke. The bikes were estimated to be travelling at 65kph, and were riding five and six abreast.

Jackson was seen riding a Yamaha motorcycle on the outside of the pack. The bikers turned onto Dutton Avenue and then into North Street at high speeds "using the entire width of the road''.

The group then made a blind turn onto Angle Street on the wrong side of the road, causing an oncoming car to stop to avoid a collision.

Jackson was apprehended by the Police officers a short time later.
