dangerous chemicals spilled from a truck.
A spokesman for the Bermuda Fire Service said 15 firefighters and six vehicles attended the incident shortly after 2 p.m.
Firefighters wore protective gear to prevent contact with the corrosive industrial adhesive used as an asphalt additive.
And Police diverted traffic away from the section of Palmetto Road, between Dock Hill and Barker's Hill, while the crew spread absorbent material over the liquid.
The chemicals were later scooped up, placed in drums, and taken to a quarry for disposal.
