Spokesperson Evelyn James Barnett said a Cedar Hill Road, Warwick, apartment landlord reported that someone broke into an unoccupied apartment sometime between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

After searching the empty apartment the culprit attempted to break into a second apartment but was unsuccessful.

Mrs. James Barnett said Police believed the suspect then went to the nearby Mizzentop Court.

A Mizzentop apartment owner told Police that someone had broken into and ransacked his apartment.

A black Panasonic boom box, a Sony cassette walkman, a boy's Huffy pedal cycle, a men's Hoya gold watch, miscellaneous jewellery, and two flatware sets were stolen.

Mrs. James Barnett said Police were also investigating a break-in at the home of an elderly Valley View Lane, Pembroke, resident on Tuesday. But nothing was stolen.

And an East End home also fell prey to a thief or thieves.

Mrs. James Barnett said a Chapel of Ease Road, St. George's, residence was broken into sometime during the day on Tuesday.

After making a search of the house, the culprit(s) made off with a silver necklace and pendant in the shape of a daisy flower with a pearl in the centre and a pair of matching earrings.
