died in a car crash following a high-speed chase.

The reports reached The Royal Gazette a day after the 21-year-old Sandys Parish man lost his life in a single-vehicle accident near Evans Bay, Southampton.

It was alleged that Police were chasing Mr. Belboda's red Suzuki car when it veered off the Middle Road in Southampton, crashed through a wooden railing, over an embankment, and landed in a garden.

When contacted yesterday Police spokesman Sgt. John Dale denied Police were involved in the accident.

He also said: `We don't comment on accidents and how they are caused, particularly if they are fatal''.

Such information will come out in the Coroner's report, he added.

Police were yesterday trying to reach the driver of a light-coloured car who was travelling east along Hog Bay Level in Somerset around 4 a.m., shortly before the accident.

It is believed that Mr. Belboda may have overtaken the car.
