Police investigate two attacks by `gangs'
gangs of youths.
The first attack happened on Friswell's Road, Pembroke, on Tuesday night.
A 19-year-old Warwick man was riding along the road when he found his path blocked by a gang of about eight youths. he was forced to slow down and, as he rode past he was pushed off his bike and punched in the head.
He was then robbed of cash and other personal items and his cycle was also damaged in the attack.
The victim suffered bruising and scratches to his face but was eventually able to break free and walk to a friend's house nearby.
The second attack happened at the Roosters restaurant in Hamilton in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The 38-year-old victim was pushed up against a wall and punched in the face several times by the gang. He finally managed to break free and escape on his motorbike.
