Police investigate two violent robberies

The 41-year-old victim said the incident occurred as he was standing and waiting to be picked up by a friend at the side of Pearman's Hill in Warwick around 7.30 p.m. on Saturday.

A man and woman approached him and demanded money.

The victim said the man grabbed him around the neck and the woman removed his wallet.

An investigation is also being conducted into an alleged attack on two men, aged 18 and 23, on Queen Street.

The men told Police they were returning to their car, which was parked on that street shortly before 10 p.m. on Sunday, when two men approached them.

The 18-year-old was apparently thrown to the ground where he was punched and kicked. He suffered bruising to his face. While the other man was threatened with a knife, but not injured.

The victims gave their attackers an undisclosed amount of money.
