gas station -- and hunting ten boxes of stolen chicken. The boxes, marked KFC and produced by Wayne Farms, were stolen from Winter Cookson and Petty on Serpentine Road during the weekend.

Meanwhile, a 61-year-old tourist had British and American money stolen when a thief sneaked into her room at the Palmetto Bay hotel in the early hours of Monday morning.

She woke at 7 a.m. to find the cash and a monthly bus pass had been taken after security guards told her the night before that her sliding glass door had been left unlocked.

Cash was also stolen from a car parked outside the hospital casualty unit overnight on Sunday and thieves also stole money from a car outside a Cedar Park apartment on the same night.

And Police arrested a 32-year-old Southampton man on suspicion of stealing scooter tyres from Riddell's Bay gas station on Monday.
