teenage victim of a serious sexual assault to hospital in the early hours of Friday morning.

A 27-year-old Devonshire man was arrested on Sunday morning in connection with the incident.

The 16-year-old Pembroke victim said she was at an Ingham's Vale, North Shore Road residence with two males. The three left in a car and she and one of the men were dropped off at a Parson's Road residence.

Once inside, the man apparently propositioned her, threatened her and then became physically abusive, before tearing off her clothes and seriously sexually assaulting her.

Central CID wishes to contact the male driver of the taxi that allegedly picked up the girl and drove her to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital following the assault.

The car was silver or grey and was travelling west along Parson's Road near the Jamaican Grill at 2 a.m. when it was stopped.

The taxi driver is asked to contact Det. Con. Derricka Brangman on 295-0011.
