The Smith's Parish woman, who was last night listed in stable condition, was allegedly stabbed in the chest by a 16-year-old male from Warwick.

The incident occurred around 5.15 p.m. on Monday following an argument between the woman and the teenager over some damage to a cycle at Devil's Hole.

Police arrested the teenager and have asked witnesses to the incident to contact Det. Sgt. Stuart Crockwell at Eastern CID on 297-1122.
