Det. Ch. Insp. George Jackson, Ch. Insp. Jonathan Smith and Ch. Insp. Gertrude Barker will leave on September 14 and attend the Canadian National Police College on the Executive Development Course.

The officers will work with Canadian officers from different areas that range from the Royal Canadian Mountain Police down to municipal police departments.

The course is the most senior offered and prepares senior officers for top commands. It covers areas like functions of Government, the constitutional role of the Police and management and deployment of personnel.

Acting Commissioner Michael Mylod said: "The Bermuda Police Service is delighted that we have obtained these three places and that three of our senior officers will have the benefit of not just the standard of tuition provided, but the opportunity to interact.. . with officers from such a wide variety of jurisdictions.''
