better care of the Horseshoe Bay Beach.

The man, who did not want to be identified, said four portable toilets used at the beach on July 15 and 16 for a reggae party were still sitting in the parking area this week.

The toilets -- rented by one of the organisers of the concert, Mr. Tiko Furbert, from Corbins Sanitation -- are an eyesore, according to the resident.

But Parks Officer for the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Parks Mr.

Craig Burt said the toilets were meant to be pumped out, then transported back to Corbin Sanitation last week.

"The toilets were supposed to be removed from the beach the day after the concert but the vehicle that came to pick them up got stuck (in the sand) on the beach,'' he said.

"The truck had to be towed away from the beach so our people moved them (the portable toilets) off the beach and put them in the parking lot until someone from the company could get them.'' The party, called Ladies Night Out, attracted hundreds of Bermuda's young people.
