But details surrounding the arrest of Mr. Gordon, 45, of Pembroke, were sketchy last night.

Premier Gordon told The Royal Gazette she only learned about the bust late last night: "All I can say is if he wants to do that stuff he has to pay the consequences like everybody else.'' The news comes in the wake of the Premier's comments on the "crackdown'' on drug dealing last night and in today's newspaper advertisement.

"I know what it is like to see someone in my own family suffer from addiction,'' she said in a television interview last night. "It is a horrible, horrible thing. But I will not throw up my hands in despair or frustration. I will not be beaten by someone else's disease.'' ANA SET TO BRUSH ISLAND THIS MORNING HUR WEA Ana set to brush Island this morning The first tropical storm of the Atlantic hurricane season will brush by Bermuda this morning.

Tropical storm Ana will make its closest point of approach at 4 a.m. when it will be some 250 nautical miles northwest of Bermuda.

And as of yesterday evening, weather forecasters said Ana was not considered a threat to Bermuda "at this time''.

On Tuesday forecasters had predicted that the storm would brush past the Island yesterday afternoon.

Ana's sustained winds had decreased five knots to 35 knots, with gusts of 45 knots.

The Atlantic Hurricane season begins June 1 and runs through to November 30.

BELCO WORKER GETS BURNED ON THE JOB AC Belco worker gets burned on the job A Bermuda Electric Light Company worker yesterday suffered burns to his right hand and leg while on the job.

The 33-year-old lineman was working on a pole in the Mid Ocean Golf Course area around 10.30 a.m. when the accident occurred.

Belco spokeswoman Linda Smith said the lineman was preparing the new pole for the transfer of wires when it gave way and he came into contact with live wires.

He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for observation and was expected to be kept there overnight.

ISLAND'S SCHOOL'S GIVEN NEW NAMES ED Island's schools given new names Four of the Island's public schools will carry new names in the coming school year.

According to orders presented in the House of Assembly yesterday, St. George's Secondary will become Clearwater Middle School, Warwick Secondary will be known as Spice Valley Middle School, Northlands Secondary will become Northlands Primary, and Dellwood Primary will become Dellwood Middle School.

The two latter schools will switch locations.

The Royal Gazette understands that Government-aided high schools, Whitney Institute and Sandys Secondary School will keep their names. But Sandys Secondary will be known as The Middle School at Sandys.

POLCIE SEEKIGN LIQUOR STORE ROBBERS CRM Police seeking liquor store robbers Police yesterday continued their appeal for customers that were in Devonshire Liquors between 1.15 to 1.45 p.m. on Tuesday when a cashier was robbed at knifepoint.

The liquor store owner's wife, Mary Fox, told Police that two men entered the store before 1.30 p.m. and waited until all the other customers had gone before one of them approached the counter area.

The man then demanded that 61-year-old Mrs. Fox open the cash register. Both men then escaped on motorcycle, heading west along South Road.
