Prince Michael of Kent to pay visit to Bermuda Bar
which will take place in Bermuda next month.
Co-chairman of the 1992 Congress committee, Mrs. Janet Owner, told The Royal Gazette that His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent will being flying into the Island specifically to take part in the gathering.
Prince Michael, who is president of The Kennel Club of the United Kingdom, will attend the World Congress dog show on November 15 at the Botanical Gardens and present the winners with their awards.
The following day, he will officially open the Congress' meetings at the Hamilton Princess Hotel.
Mrs. Owner said approximately 100 delegates, observers and sponsors from 18 countries are participating in the five-day series of seminars.
Topics include canine nutrition, insurance, aggressiveness prevention and the training of guide dogs.
There will also be presentations on newly-formed dog clubs in Eastern Europe and a proposed ban on tail docking in New Zealand.
Prince Michael, who is a cousin of the Queen, is expected to stay on the Island for about a week.
