Sharon Tyrell, 50, and Jacqueline Brangman, 51, are charged with importing cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to supply.
A grey duffel bag, alleged to belong to Tyrell, was searched at the Civil Air Terminal on October 23, 1993 and was found to include a jacket containing cannabis valued at over $100,000.
Tyrell, represented by Mr. Philip Perinchief, and Brangman, represented by Mr.
Archibald Warner, were traveling back to Bermuda via New York's JFK airport after a trip to Jamaica.
The trial, which began on Monday before Chief Justice the Hon. Austin Ward and a 12-member jury, is set to resume on Monday.
Much of yesterday afternoon was occupied with arguments in the jury's absence.
