And yesterday the Parliamentary Registrar Mrs. Marlene Christopher urged those who have registered to inspect the list to make sure they are on it.

Noting that there were 33,297 names on the Draft Register -- including people who registered before March 1 and those who were registered in their homes by canvassers -- Mrs. Christopher said: "This is about the largest number we have had on the Draft Register.

"The total number on the final register for 1994 was 34,637 and we are expecting a final registration of about 35,000 this year.'' The review by the Constituency Boundaries Commission -- which meets at the end of the registration period to determine if boundaries need to be changed -- was one of the factors contributing to the high registration numbers, Mrs.

Christopher said.

The law required 100 percent registration for this exercise. And for that reason canvassers were hired to go door-to-door to achieve a complete registration of all eligible voters.

Persons who have not registered may still receive a visit from the canvassers between now and the end of May. This will enable them to be included in the Final Parliamentary Register which will be published on June 15.

Any election, by-election or referendum taking place on or after June 16 will use the 1995 Parliamentary Register.

The Register will be on display at all post offices, libraries, police stations, and at the Parliamentary Registrar's office.
