Mr. Jeffers' party -- which fielded four unsuccessful candidates for last Monday's poll -- lost its one remaining MP at the 1993 General Election.

Mr. Jeffers added: "We have pledged to do what we can to ensure Bermuda's continued prosperity and growth.''
