That is the view of the man who supervises the collection of the blue bags from people's homes Mr. Henry Talbot.

Mr. Talbot's family firm, Talbot Enterprises, won the contract to collect the recycled waste from the Government.

He said: "Most people use the bags correctly and we only have a couple of rejected bags. It is really going fine.

"Some people put plastics in the bags which means they have to be rejected. I think people believe that we are recycling plastics.'' Mr. Talbot took delivery of two new trucks yesterday, one of which will be used for collecting the blue bags.

The other truck is for collecting unrecyclable waste from Bermudian businesses which will become a private service later this year.
