Fridays will have to wait until Saturday.

The Ministry of Works and Engineering yesterday issued a statement reminding the public that there will be no garbage collection during the Cup Match holiday.

Garbage should be placed outdoors for collection before 7.30 a.m. on Saturday, the Ministry said.

Recyclables will not be collected until the following week.

However, the Tynes Bay drop-off facility will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both days of Cup Match.
