Rider in collision with reversing car
Parish man injured his ankle in a traffic accident.
Police spokesperson Evelyn James Barnett said the 48-year-old man suffered a sprained ankle following an accident on Monday night.
The man was riding his motorcycle east on Middle Road in Devonshire when a Mitsubishi Lancer Station Wagon reversed from National Sports Club onto Middle Road.
Mrs. James Barnett said extensive damage was caused to both vehicles.
"We would like to remind motorists that reversing onto a main road can be extremely dangerous and is not recommended,'' she said. "Where possible, the vehicle should be turned around before emerging onto the main road.
"Where this is not possible it should be reversed off the main road when being initially parked in order that it may then be driven out forwards.''
