masked robber who broke into their apartment in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The couple were sleeping in their Langton Hill apartment in Pembroke when they were woken by an intruder.

Brandishing a large knife the robber became aggressive, demanding cash from the couple as they lay in their bed.

The couple cooperated and eventually handed over a wallet containing about $200 cash.

It is thought the intruder broke into the apartment through an unlocked bathroom window, and made his escape through a sliding glass door.

The suspect is described as being male, about five-feet ten-inches tall, slim build and was wearing dark clothing and a hood or mask.
