aftermath of this weekend's hijack exercise, it is believed.

Elite troops from Britain's SAS and the US's Delta Force, were rumoured to have taken part in the exercise - which was a "first'' for Bermuda.

About 200 Regiment soldiers were mobilised "cold'', without warning, as the hijacking scenario was played out. Lt. Col. Allan Rance, the Regiment's commanding officer, said the event was a success on the whole, though there were interesting lessons to be learned. "We had a very good response,'' he said.

He declined to comment on the rumoured SAS and Delta Force presence.
