Stuart Bean, a self-employed painter, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled drug and a further charge of having drug equipment.

Prosecutor Insp. Peter Duffy told the court that on Febuary 11, Police were observing an area from which Bean was seen leaving in his car.

Officers searched Bean's car and discovered two envelopes containing marijauna, two packs of cigarette papers and a torn match book.

A later search of Bean's residence provided Police with another 3.37 grams of marijuana.

Bean was ordered by Magistrate The Wor. Edward King to pay $450 on drug possession charges by July or serve 28 days in prison.

He was also ordered to pay $150 for charges of having drug equipment.
