out, an Opposition Senator has charged.

Sen. Neletha (Honey) Butterfield (PLP) made this assertion during her speech in the Senate Chamber on Friday after she was left out of the official photograph that was taken on June 30.

And she wrote a letter to Premier Pamela Gordon expressing her disappointment at the way she was treated.

Sen. Butterfield has been an Opposition Senator for four years. She spoke to Government Senate Leader Gary Pitman and explained that she would be unavailable for the photograph if it was taken on June 30.

And she said she wanted to know why the photograph was still taken when there were two other days to choose from and other arrangements could have been made.

"I am dismayed and disappointed that this position and decision was taken,'' she wrote. "A very poor decision in my opinion for one who should be showing leadership.

During the debate on the Code of Practice for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and the Promotion of Equality of Opportunity in Employment, she chastised her colleagues for posing for the picture in her absence.

Sen. Pitman said:"It was just an unfortunate situation. We told her that we were going to get a picture taken last week and she couldn't make it so we thought everything was fine.

"However yesterday she was very upset about it so we took another picture at 12.30 p.m. and everyone was included.''
