Hurricane Cindy.
Bermuda Harbour Radio received the call which was made by the 173-foot general cargo vessel Ellize , registered out of Belize.
A Harbour Radio spokesman said the vessel, carrying a crew of eight, apparently got into steering difficulties after being lashed by the high winds of Hurricane Cindy.
He said the ship was unable to keep its head into the wind, causing it to roll heavily.
A Norwegian tanker came to its aid and provided a lee for the Ellize in which she was able to correct herself.
Thanks to the help, the ship continued on its way to Miami.
