prison if he is convicted of importing cocaine, according to the New York prosecutor in the case.

Mr. Simons, the co-owner of Black Family Productions, was arrested in New York last month for allegedly attempting to import eight kilograms of cocaine to Bermuda.

Mr. Stephen King, of the US Attorney General's office in Brooklyn, New York, said he could not discuss the case and did not know when Simons would be arraigned. But he said the sentence for the charges Simons is facing range between ten years and life.

Simons, 42, of Smith's Parish, was arrested in his hotel room, and was charged with conspiring to import the drugs into Bermuda via the US. The Bermuda Police are assisting the Drug Enforcement Agency with the investigation.
