The Board rejected Mr. William Kempe's plan for the house at the end of Marley Beach Lane in Warwick saying it would be detrimental to the natural beauty of the area.
Seven objections, including one by the Bermuda National Trust and six by area residents, were filed against the plan which called for a single-room dwelling with kitchen, bathroom and sundeck.
DAB minutes released this week said the board had refused the application because the proposed developement, "by virtue of its design and massing would be detrimental to the natural beauty of the open land and have a significant impact on the natural features of the rocky coastline.'' The land is zoned as open space.
