yesterday before they were able to set foot on Bermuda soil.

The 21 and 22-year-old men were believed to be Haitian nationals who slipped aboard the Sierra Nevada Highway while it was in its last port of call -- Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

The men were caught at around 8.30 a.m. after Marine Police aboard the Heron II noticed them standing in the rudder compartment as the automobile transport ship came into dock in Hamilton. They jumped overboard and swam towards the Marine Police boat where they were brought aboard, then delivered into the custody of the ship's captain. They will be taken back to Haiti.
