Marion Macmillan Pictet, 64, heiress to $975 million from the massive agricultural products firm Cargill Inc. owns Bermuda's Perot Island.

And Ernest Stempel, 80, -- a top executive with Bermuda-based American International Group and who has an estimated fortune of $700 million -- lives in Fairylands.

The firm's president, New York-based Maurice Greenberg, 71, is worth $1.4 billion.

And Ross Perot, 66, -- who is worth $3.3 billion despite his heavy spending in two US Presidential campaigns -- lists his main residence in Dallas, Texas, but is a regular visitor to his home on Tucker's Town.

Edward (Ned) Johnson III, a backer of the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute and founder of Fidelity Investments, also owns a home in Bermuda.

Mr. Johnson, 66, whose main residence is listed as Boston, Massachussets, is worth $1.3 billion.

Other Bermuda links include the Marriott brothers, who own and operate the Island's Castle Harbour resort.

Richard, 57, has a personal fortune of $620 million, while brother John, 64, is worth $565 million.

The owner of Bermuda-based Central European Television, Ronald Lauder, 52, of the Estee Lauder empire is listed as being worth $2.1 billion.

John Kluge, 82, Metromedia Co. magnate, of Charlottesville, Virginia, is worth $7.2 billion. His yacht, the Virginian is a regular sight off St. George's and Hamilton.
