Shannon Trott, a former Whitney Institute student, was previously convicted of stealing almost $3,000 in property from a neighbour's home.

Trott, of Hermitage Road, entered and ransacked Vicky Lightbourne's home on January 7 and stole stereo equipment, a video camera, compact discs, and jewellery.

Trott's grandmother discovered some of the missing equipment in his bedroom and turned her grandson in to Police.

During his February hearing, Trott's mother had requested that the court impose a curfew if they planned to release him on bail.

Last June, Trott was sentenced to two years probation and 120 hours of community service.

Yesterday in court, probation officer Mel Simmons told Senior Magistrate Will Francis that Trott's behaviour had been good and requested that his probation continue.

Mr. Francis agreed and added: "Just keep it up, Mr. Trott.'' Trott is scheduled for review on March 18.
