Oshay Andre Swan, of Westering Lane, pleaded guilty to the charge during the monthly Supreme Court arraignment session before Chief Justice Austin Ward.

And Adelle Laura Roberts, 34, of Somerset Road, Sandys Parish, pleaded not guilty to a single charge of causing death by dangerous driving.

Construction worker Craig Walter Astwood, 30, died as a result of a collision between his bike and a van on September 10, 1996, at the junction of South Road and Horseshoe Road in Southampton.

Roberts, who was represented by lawyer Mark Diel, was released on $3,500 bail with a surety in like sum.

She will reappear in court on March 2 for mention.

A 79-year-old Pembroke grandfather was yesterday charged with incest and the sexual exploiting his granddaughter sometime between June 1 and September 30, 1993.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, denied both charges and was released on $2,000 bail with a surety in like sum.

He will return to court on March 2 for mention.

And Heman Viera, of Kyber Heights, Warwick denied robbing a man of his wallet on October 18 of last year and robbing a second man of $310 in cash on October 19 of last year.

Viera was remanded in custody to return for mention on March 2.

A Sandys man will be sentenced in the Supreme Court on Wednesday for his role in a bank robbery.

Reid Henry Jones admitted his involvement in the armed robbery at the Bank of Butterfield's Somerset branch on July 8, 1997, during his last court appearance in December.

His co-accused Randolph Granville Lightbourne, of Devonshire, has pleaded not guilty to the armed robbery charge, denied using a Colt .45 automatic pistol to steal $70,000 during the raid and two charges of unlawful wounding during the robbery.

Lightbourne will return to court on March 2 to set a trial date.

The trio who allegedly carried out a $38,000 bank raid also will have to wait until next month to set their trial dates.

Yusef DeSilva, Rupert Archibald and Michael Dillas have all denied any part in the armed robbery of the Bank of Bermuda's Somerset branch on April 9 of last year.

DeSilva, of Cobbs Hill Road, Warwick, and Archibald, of Rockywold Drive, Sandys, have each pleaded not guilty to threatening two bank workers with a firearm and using the weapons to carry out the robbery.

Dillas, of Stovell Bay Lane, Pembroke, has denied three charges of being an accessory and helping DeSilva and Archibald to carry out the offence.

The trio were remained in custody to return to court on March 2.

Accused armed robber Harron Evans will have to reappear in court on April 1 to set a date for his trial.

Evans has denied any involvement in the armed robbery of a Bank of Butterfield security van on November 19, 1995.

Kirk Mundy and Omar Amory have already been sentenced for their involvement in the matter and could testify against their accomplice.

Stephen Wilfred Pitt, 44, appeared in court accused of receiving stolen goods, including a chain-saw, 73 cans of soda and 26 bottles of wine.

Prosecutors claimed the drinks had been stolen from the Portuguese Cultural Association's offices on Laffan Street, Pembroke.

Pitt, of Alexandria Road, Devonshire, was also accused of receiving a stolen Stanley chain-saw. He has denied all charges.

His case is scheduled to be the second case to be tried this month.

Suspected drugs supplier Eugene Levi Robinson, who was arrested during Operation Cleansweep in May, was told to return to court on March 2 to have a trial date fixed.

Robinson, 29, of Bobs Valley Lane, Sandys, has pleaded not guilty to supplying "small amounts'' of cannabis on May 10 and May 11 of last year.

Gregory Ashby will also have to return to court next month to have his trial date set.

Ashby, of Pembroke, has denied importing cannabis between February 14 and 21 of last year. He has also denied possessing and handling drugs with intent to supply on February 21.
