broke into Warwick Academy and stole $2,100 worth of audio equipment.
Michael Hollis, 16, of St. Mary's Road, Warwick, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to breaking into the school on November 14 last year and stealing two speakers and an amplifier.
Two other break-ins at the school were taken into consideration.
And Hollis pleaded guilty to driving while impaired on February 8 and driving without a licence.
Police saw Hollis jumping over the wall of Warwick Academy's property around 11.30 a.m. on November 14 when the theft was reported, Insp. Peter Duffy, prosecuting, said.
The speakers were found outside of the school yard. And Hollis later admitted breaking into the school and stealing them and other items.
He said he acted alone.
On February 8, Police saw Hollis sitting on a motorcycle on Palmetto Road in Devonshire around 1.45 a.m.
Insp. Duffy said they noticed that his face was badly cut, blood was coming from his nose, and his breath smelled of alcohol.
Hollis told Police he had an accident.
Insp. Duffy said after taking Hollis to the hospital for treatment of his injuries, Police took him to the Hamilton Police Station where he was found to have 139 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis adjourned the matter until April 29, when a social inquiry report is expected.
