Ricardo Brangman, of Robert's Avenue, Devonshire, previously pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to stealing a $1,800 auxiliary cycle from Paul Maybury on September 9, 1997.

At Brangman's last court appearance, Senior Magistrate Will Francis ordered a social inquiry report on him. The report was to be completed prior to Brangman's sentencing yesterday.

After reading the report, Mr. Francis agreed with duty counsel Elizabeth Christopher to grant Brangman a "Section 64'' of the Criminal Code.

Mr. Francis explained to Brangman that this meant if he obeyed the law for the next year, the offence will not be recorded.
