The intruders entered the Warwick guest accommodation on Sunday morning and stole a wallet and a handbag containing cash, credit cards and a pair of reading glasses.

In a separate incident, a 26-year-old visitor had property stolen from her livery cycle.

The complainant left her handbag and some gifts on the cycle on Friday afternoon while she went into a Southampton hotel to make inquiries. She returned a short time later to find her possessions gone.

Also over the weekend, a 47-year old Paget man was kicked off his motorcycle by two men.

Police said the incident took place early on Saturday morning on Point Finger Road in Paget.

The man was travelling along Trimingham Road, Paget, when the bike carrying his two assailants cut dangerously in front of him. Both cycles continued onto Point Finger Road where one of the men hit the complainant on the head with a crash helmet.

They then kicked the man off his cycle and drove off leaving him with abrasions on his arm and leg.

In another weekend incident, Police found drugs on a 24-year-old man arrested for driving while impaired.

Officers saw the man driving at a high speed and in an erratic manner on Happy Valley Road, Pembroke, early on Saturday morning. He was found to have a blood-alcohol level in excess of the legal limit when his breath samples were later tested.

When the man was searched, officers also found a small quantity of a suspected controlled drug on him, said Police spokesman Insp. Coghlin Gibbons. The man was released on bail pending further inquiries.
