The favourite is Edwin Adderley, United Bermuda Party candidate and former Government Planning Director.

Mr. Adderley was chosen without a primary to take over from Government MP and Youth and Sport Minister David Dyer as candidate in the solid UBP constituency.

Turning out for the Progressive Labour Party on the November 6 poll is developer Rodney Smith.

And Bermuda's third political force, the National Liberal Party, will field international photographer Graeme Outerbridge.

All three were nominated yesterday, filing papers with the Parliamentary Registrar in Hamilton.

An advance poll will be held on Thursday, October 30, for those among the 1837 electorate unable to vote in person or who will be off the Island on November 6.
