Michael Easton, of Hermitage Lane, Devonshire, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to violently resisting arrest in St. George's on October 8.

Police prosecutor Sgt. Phil Taylor said a Police officer was attempting to issue Easton a parking ticket outside the Custom's cargo terminal.

But after an exchange of words, the officer tried to arrest Easton who "took a swing'' at him.

Sgt. Taylor said a struggle ensued until a member of the public helped the officer subdue Easton.

Yesterday, Easton had no explanation for his actions.

VANDALS STRIKE AT PROSPECT PRIMARY CRM Vandals strike at Prospect Primary Graffiti was found painted on windows, doors and walls inside the Prospect Primary School on Monday morning.

A member of staff said the culprits entered the school sometime between last Friday and Monday morning. Once inside they ransacked a few rooms and hallway areas. Nothing was taken.

There was also unsightly graffiti painted over doors and windows and Police are continuing to look into the matter.

In a separate incident, the Opportunity Workshop School was broken into between 6.45 Friday evening and 7 a.m. Monday.

The school principal said the thief or thieves splattered paint all over the classroom and other items including a new stove, a refrigerator, desk counter tops and cupboards. Three black headphone sets were also taken.

Shakai Whitter, of Border Lane, Devonshire, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to possessing .82 grams of cannabis on June 18 in Pembroke.

Police prosecutor Sgt. Phil Taylor said Whitter was picked up by Police around 10.20 p.m. on Angle Street for another matter and taken to Hamilton Police Station.

Upon exiting the Police car, a search was made of the interior and a small twist was found in the back seat.

Sgt. Taylor said Whitter, a student at Bermuda College, admitted owning the twist.

Senior Magistrate Will Francis adjourned the matter until December 9.

OFF THE ROAD A YEAR FOR DRINK-DRIVING CTS Off the road a year for drink-driving Drinking at a friend's house and then riding home cost a 29-year-old Warwick woman $450 and a year off the road.

Judith Warburton, of Tribe Road Number Two, yesterday admitted in Magistrates' Court to riding on Trimingham Hill in Paget while impaired on September 19.

Police prosecutor Sgt. Phil Taylor said Police were on patrol when they spotted Warburton "wobbling'' on an auxiliary cycle along the road.

Upon stopping her, the officer noticed that her eyes were glossy and she was unsteady on her feet.

Sgt. Taylor said Warburton told the officer she had two drinks at a friend's house.

Subsequent tests showed that Warburton had at least 195 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80.

The car, a two-door salon with mag wheels, was left unattended from 6.30 Sunday evening to 8 a.m. Monday.

The registration number was 11075.

TOURIST BRUISED IN MOTORCYCLE MISHAP AC Tourist bruised in motorcycle mishap A tourist received a bruise and a cut to her lower leg after she apparently lost control of her cycle and collided with a wall last Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred around 4 p.m. on North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish at the junction with Radnor Road.

TOOLS TAKEN FROM SALVATION ARMY SITE CHU Tools taken from Salvation Army site A power saw, three pairs of pliers, three hammers and a ratchet set were among a quantity of tools stolen from a construction site on North Street.

The owner of a construction company working on a site at the Salvation Army shelter, reported someone had entered the site sometime over the weekend.
