Miss Todd was educated at Warwick Academy and attended Saltus Grammar's senior year in Bermuda before leaving to study abroad.

She completed her first degree at the University of Western Ontario in Canada where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and literature.

In 1987, Miss Todd began reading law at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England. She received her degree in 1990, graduating with first class honours.

The 27-year-old was admitted to the Bar in England and Wales in February.

She is presently working in the chambers of Mr. Anthony Hall QC in London, but intends to return to Bermuda to practice commercial and shipping law.

Also called to the Bermuda Bar this week was Mr. Michael John D'Arcy Burns, 35. Mr. Burns, who articled with the Federal Court of Canada, has joined the law firm of Appleby, Spurling, and Kempe.
