both ends of the Island today.

Volunteers from the Police Service, Fire Services, Customs, the prison, Bermuda Regiment, the Canadian and US forces, and a decorated officer from the Hartford, Connecticut's Police -- Sgt. James Blanchette -- will start from the Clock Tower in Dockyard or King's Square in St. George's at noon.

They will converge at the South roundabout at 3 p.m. and will run together along Front Street, up Queen Street and on to City Hall for a pep rally.

A representative from each of the services will resume the run from City Hall on Sunday and carry the torch to Warwick Secondary School's field where 66 athletes will be gathered.

The parade of athletes will begin at 1.45 p.m. at PHC Stadium in Warwick.

The public is encouraged to come out and support the special athletes who will be competing in walks, relays, shot putt, standing long jump and other events.
