Lightbourne has died.

Mr. Lightbourne, of Valley Road, Paget, was for many years a Government tour bus operator and a social host at the now closed Castle Harbour hotel.

In 1974 he received a Certificate and Badge of Honour in the Queen's Honours List for his tourism promotion efforts.

Also a floral expert, he and his wife Betty celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1998.

Mr. Lightbourne also leaves seven children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
