Tourism's Visitor Industry Partnership (VIP) has come up with the `write' solution for parents looking to keep their children occupied over the Easter holidays.

VIP is urging as many students as possible to enter its annual essay contest.

The winner will get a Compaq computer and nine other prizes are on offer in the competition for this year's VIP Tourism Appreciation Week.

The theme this year is: "Bermuda's two main industries are tourism and international business. Why could Bermuda not survive with just one of them?'' The deadline for entries is April 16 and the winners will be presented with their prizes on April 24 at City Hall. Entries should be placed in the drop box at City Hall.

Tourism Appreciation Week runs from April 21-27 and will feature a number of new ventures this year.

A hospitality industry beach party will be held at Cross Bay at Sonesta Beach on April 22 following a fun walk/run.

The first ever Visitor Industry clean-up takes place at locations across the Island the previous day.

Students will be able to visit leading hotels to encourage them into the hospitality industry throughout the week.

The event ends with the Bermuda Hotel Association hotelier of the year and VIP Bermuda Sunshine Award at Sonesta Beach Hotel on April 27.
