Two arrested on drugs charges

A 30-year-old Warwick man was arrested on Ord Road, Warwick, after being found in posession of what is alleged to be crack cocaine.

In a separate incident, a 22-year-old Pembroke man was arrested after a Police chase on St. John's Road, Pembroke, also on Friday.

A Police spokesman said the man was sitting on a cycle and ran off when he was approached by officers.

He was chased and caught and arrested after Police found what is alleged to be cannabis stored on the bike.

CAR DRIVER ARRESTED AFTER CRASH CRM AC Car driver arrested after crash A 20-year-old Smith's Parish man was arrested at the weekend for alleged impaired driving after a car crash which left a passenger in hospital with back injuries and a broken leg.

The 31-year-old Hamilton Parish man was injured after the Mitsibushi Colt hit a tree on Fractious Street, Hamilton Parish, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

It is understood the driver lost control and the vehicle veered off the roadway, hitting the tree.

The driver -- who was uninjured -- was arrested by Police who were called to the scene.

POLICE PROBE HARBOUR ROAD BREAK-IN CRM Police probe Harbour Road break-in Police yesterday issued an appeal for witnesses after an early morning break-in at a house in Harbour Road.

Thieves struck at the Warwick home after the owner went for a walk around 7 a.m.

When he returned an hour later, he found someone had taken a stereo system, a 32-inch Sony TV and a video recorder.

Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area of Harbour Road and Longford Road around the time of the Saturday theft is asked to contact Somerset CID at 234-1010.
